Jo no Fuchi
(Spring of stick)

Home of special fish kind

History of this grand spring of 1,000㎡goes back when the great priest Kobo-Taishi is said to have poked his stick on a ground spot where fresh water subsequently started to jet out.
Today the spring is located inside a large "Jo no Fuchi Park". The water, source of which is believed to have same origin as Shigenobu River's, is characterized by its high level of transparency and abundant spout volume.
"Teiregi", a very little known water plant that produces Wasabi-like mustard inhabits by the water source.
