Hot spring water that healed Samurai warriors' wounds
The record remains that the hot spring of Shimobe was visited by a great number of 16th century war generals in Japan after severely injured at the battlefields including the famous battle of Kawanakajima between Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Kawakami. The Takeda troop of that time actually protected the hot spring by issuing "the diploma of the land bathhouse" vis-a-vis the rock bath at the spring source, now a spa of remedy facility.
Today, it is a healing spa for everyone
And today, this hot spring spa is the destination for modern citizens as healing remedy in many ways.
When you walk inside the spa facility, you will notice the photographs pasted in the pillar of the lobby next to the hot water rock bath. 16 photographs have lined up in time series, each showing the after-operation wound heals.
